# 2025.29.0

## Mail in Daylite - What's New

* Now you can **search your inbox and mail folders right inside Daylite**, making it easier to find the emails that matter—no need to switch back to Apple Mail. Stay focused and get to what you need faster.
* We’ve added **rich text formatting to email composition**, so you can now bold, italicize, underline, and more. Click the format toolbar button in the New Message window to show or hide the formatting bar.

**Note:** Mail in Daylite is currently in Early Access as we continue adding features and incorporating user feedback. To learn how to connect your email account, visit our [Mail in Daylite Learn page](https://docs.daylite.app/help/learn/mail-management/early-access?utm_source=release-notes\&utm_medium=app\&utm_campaign=2025.29.0). Mail in Daylite requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later.

### Other Improvements and Fixes

* A mini month view is now shown when using the "Go To Date" menu item, making it quicker to choose a date.
* Fixed an issue that could occur when importing from Contacts app where a contact's birthday and anniversary fields were not imported.

### Changes to Permissions

* The **permissions system is now always on**, no need to enable it manually.
* **Features tied to the permissions system** now automatically activate when multiple users are present, streamlining setup as your team grows.
* In **Permissions settings**, you can now choose whether to show teams in permission popups. Previously, teams always appeared, which often caused confusion since **Visibility Presets** are the recommended approach.
* If you’ve **used teams in permissions before**, they’ll still display and function as expected but this option is now turned off by default.
