# Contact Integration Settings

Choose which Daylite contacts appear in the Contacts app and other apps.

The **Contact Integration** settings pane publishes your Daylite contacts out to the Contacts app on your Mac and other apps, so the people you track in Daylite are available wherever you look up a contact — with two-way sync, so contacts you add to the Daylite group in Contacts show up back in Daylite too.

**Key facts:**

* Contact Integration is a **Personal** setting: this connection applies to your own login.
* Find it at **Daylite > Settings > Contact Integration**.
* You choose whether to share **all** Daylite contacts or **only** a selected list.
* Sync is two-way for the Daylite group: contacts you add to that group in the Contacts app also appear in Daylite.

## What's in the Contact Integration Pane

1. **Show.** Choose which Daylite contacts are published to other apps:
 * **All Daylite contacts** — every contact in your Daylite database is shared.
 * **Only contacts added to "Show in Other Apps" list** — only the contacts you specifically choose are shared. Add a contact to this list by selecting **Show in other apps** on its detail card, or by dragging it onto the list in the sidebar.
2. **Setup Instructions.** Two ways to connect:
 * **In the Contacts app on your Mac**

This is the legacy way to get your Daylite Contacts into the Contacts app. It still works, but there's now an easier method. For the simplest steps, see Contact Sharing. If you do install the profile, your Daylite Contacts will appear in the Apple Contacts app

 * **In Other Apps** — click **Go to My Account** on the Daylite website for instructions on connecting other apps and devices.

## Frequently asked questions

**Does this share all my Daylite contacts, or just some?** Your choice. Under **Show**, pick **All Daylite contacts** to share everything, or **Only contacts added to "Show in Other Apps" list** to share just the contacts you select.

**How do I add a contact to the "Show in Other Apps" list?** Select **Show in other apps** on the contact's detail card, or drag the contact onto the list in the sidebar.

**If I add a contact to the Daylite group in the Contacts app, will it appear in Daylite?** Yes. The Daylite group syncs two-way, so contacts you add to it from the Contacts app also show in Daylite.

**How do I get my Daylite contacts into the Mac Contacts app?** Click **Install Daylite Contacts Profile** on this pane. This creates a **Daylite** group in the Contacts app showing your Daylite contacts.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.daylite.app/help/mac-fundamentals/settings/mac-settings/personal/contact-integration-settings.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
