# Set up Google Calendar Sync

Google Calendar Sync is a two-way sync. Appointments created in a Google calendar appear in Daylite, and Daylite Appointments with the synced category appear in the paired Google calendar. Changes sync automatically in both directions.

Google Calendar Sync is in Public Preview — some features are still being added and you might encounter a few bugs. Thank you for trying it!

## Before you begin:

* To sync your Google calendars, a Daylite admin must turn on Google Calendar Sync for your company.
* All devices in your company must be running the latest version of Daylite.
* Appointment visibility is controlled by Daylite permissions, so you can manage which Appointments your team can see.

## Enable Google Calendar Sync

A Daylite admin must turn on Calendar Sync for your company. If you are a normal user, jump to [Add a Google Calendar to Sync with Daylite](#add-a-google-calendar-to-sync-with-daylite) once your admin has turned this feature on.

If you are an admin, follow the steps below to enable Google Calendar Sync:

1. Go to **Daylite** > **Settings** > **Calendar Integration** > **Calendar Sync** and click **Manage Calendar Sync**, or go to [my.daylite.app/settings/calendar-sync](https://my.daylite.app/settings/calendar-sync).

2. Click **Enable Calendar Sync for Your Company**

<figure><img src="/files/bk5q7qVZA8LWasIpACbK" alt="Daylite web settings page for Calendar Sync, showing the option for a Daylite admin to enable calendar sync for the company. The “Enable Calendar Sync for Your Company” button is highlighted."><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

If any users in your company are using unsupported versions of Daylite, you will be prompted to have the users update to the latest version of Daylite, or to remove those devices from the company account. Removing a device will delete the offline database and prevent the user from logging back in on that device until they update Daylite.

After any incompatible devices are resolved, you will be able to Enable Calendar Sync.

## Deleting a Calendar Sync

You can delete a calendar sync by clicking the Delete <i class="fa-trash-can">:trash-can:</i> button next to the calendar sync you want to remove. This will free up the paired category to use with a different calendar sync, but be aware that any Daylite history linked to Google-originated appointments will be lost.

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Important**

Deleting a calendar sync deletes all imported Appointments. Appointments originally created in Google will be deleted from Daylite, and Appointments originally created in Daylite will be deleted from Google. If you have any history, activity, or files linked to Google-originated appointments, be aware that those links will be lost, and if you re-add the calendar sync later, you will need to re-add those links.
{% endhint %}
