Managing Calendar Sync
Google Calendar Sync is managed from the web at my.daylite.app/settings/calendar-sync. You can also access this from Daylite by going to Daylite > Settings > Calendar Integration and clicking Manage Calendar Sync.
Enabling Calendar Sync for Your Company
An admin must enable Google Calendar Sync before anyone in the company can use it. When an admin opens the calendar sync settings for the first time, Daylite checks all devices on the company account for compatibility.
If all devices are compatible, the admin can click Enable Calendar Sync to activate the feature for the company.
Resolving Incompatible Devices
If incompatible devices are found, Daylite displays a modal listing the affected user, their devices, and the options available to resolve the issue:
Update the device — Ask the user to update Daylite to a compatible version
Remove the device — Remove old or unused devices from the account
Once all incompatible devices are updated or removed, the Enable Calendar Sync button becomes active.
Important: Incompatible devices running an older version of Daylite can cause sync conflicts. All devices on the company account must be running a compatible version before calendar sync can be enabled.
Adding a Google Account
After enabling calendar sync for the company, add your Google account by clicking Add Google Account and following the on-screen steps to sign in.
Calendar and Category Pairing
Each sync rule pairs one Google Calendar with one Daylite Appointment category. This pairing controls how Appointments sync between the two apps:
Appointments in the paired Google Calendar sync to Daylite with the selected category
Daylite Appointments with the selected category sync to the paired Google Calendar
Exclusive Pairing
The pairing is exclusive — a category can only be paired with one Google Calendar. Once you select a category for a sync rule, that category is unavailable for any other calendar sync.
Note: You cannot change a calendar-category pairing after it is created. To use a different pairing, delete the existing sync rule and create a new one.
Creating a New Category
If you need a new category for syncing, you can create one during setup. Daylite assigns a color automatically. You can change the category name and color later in the Daylite app.
Review and Confirm
Before the sync begins, Daylite displays a summary of your settings, including the calendar-category pairing and the number of Appointments that will be imported. Review your selections and click Add Calendar Sync to start the import.
The initial import syncs all events — past and future — from both the Google Calendar and the Daylite category. This may take a few minutes depending on the number of events.
Deleting a Calendar Sync
You can delete a sync rule from the calendar sync settings page. To delete a sync rule, click the delete option next to the rule you want to remove.
Important: Deleting a sync rule removes all synced Appointments from both Daylite and Google Calendar. Appointments that were synced from Google to Daylite are deleted from Daylite, and Appointments that were synced from Daylite to Google are deleted from Google Calendar. Review your synced Appointments before deleting.
After deleting a sync rule, you can create a new one. You can pair the same Google Calendar with a different category, or use the same category with a different Google Calendar.
