To resolve this issue follow the steps below:
Open Daylite
From the menu bar choose Daylite > Preferences and click General
Unselect the checkbox labelled "Sync in the background"
Quit Daylite
Perform steps 1 and 2 again and this time select the checkbox labelled "Sync in the background.
