Forms
You can make your own merge keys for form fields since they can be anything the user sets as a form field within a form.
The merge keys for a form field are structured as such,
<$form.Name Of Form Field$>
Eg., if you have a form field named Target Date, the merge key would be, <$form.Target Dater$>
Date Formats
There are different formats you can apply to a date merged key. To do this, append the format to the end of the date merged key.
<$rightNow.preferredDateFormat$>
For preferred date format, you can select one of the following:
preferredDateFormat
preferredMediumDateFormat
preferredLongDateFormat
preferredLongDateTimeFormat
preferredTimeFormat
preferredDateTimeFormat
Daylite uses the format specified in your International System Preferences while displaying the date.
How to send external letter templates
After saving your letter template in another application with the merge letters described above you can send merge letters to people in Daylite with the steps below:
Select the person you wish to send your letter to, or make the letter about
Select Edit > Merge > Merge from another application
Select the application you saved your template
Next to Template select Choose and navigate to your template
Next to Save in select Choose and choose where to save your merged letter
Add a file name and Subject
Choose to either send as Email, to Print or in the Daylite editor for more changes
When using form merge keys, first select the contact that the form is linked to then, select the form you wish to merge within the contact Details pane.
