### Frequently Asked Questions <a href="#frequently-asked-questions" id="frequently-asked-questions"></a>

#### Does Daylite sync appointments to Google Calendar?&#x20;

Yes, the sync is two-ways. Appointments created in Daylite with the selected category will appear in Google Calendar, and events created in Google Calendar will appear in Daylite.

#### How far back does the sync go?&#x20;

All events — past and future — in both the Google calendar and the Daylite category are synced.

#### How often does the sync run?

On demand. When a change is made in either Daylite or Google Calendar, the sync is triggered automatically.

#### If an event is moved in Google Calendar, does it update in Daylite?

Yes. The updated time will sync to Daylite.

#### If an event is deleted in Google Calendar, what happens in Daylite?&#x20;

The appointment is moved to the Trash in Daylite. You can recover the event by going to Window > Trash in Daylite.

#### If an appointment is trashed in Daylite, is it deleted in Google?

Yes.

#### Does Google distinguish between cancelled and deleted events?

No. Google treats deleted and cancelled as the same action. In both cases, the appointment will be trashed in Daylite.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.daylite.app/help/center/article-playground/fundamentals/calendars/google-calendar-sync.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
